Chapter 19: “Continually Gnawing Rock”
Through discipline, we discovering that the world is not what we think it is... literally. Bringing mind into the present, developing awareness of what is real, abandoning entertainment -- over and over again -- this is the meaning of discipline, as it applies to awareness of our body (the physical world), speech (expressing with grace and awareness rather than blurting), and mind (mindfulness/awareness meditation). By means of discipline we learn what to accept and reject in our lives, and we learn to live a more appreciative, awake, and uplifted life. Fruitionally, it brings the discovery of the two-fold egolessness: of self and other.
